We use only 100% USA washable leathers in our designer line of Swimwear, ClubWear and Accessories. Each hide is hand selected and chosen for its texture, grain and suppleness.
We choose only those hides that have a smooth front and a velvety back and that are pliable and supple to provide "eons" of wearable comfort.
Care of Washable Leather
To properly care for your LeatherBikini fashion:
Hand-wash in tepid water. NEVER use detergent! It will remove all the oils from the leather.
Rinse until water runs clear.
DO NOT wring out during washing, rinsing or before drying.
After rinsing, lay flat on an absorbent towel until dry.
NEVER use HEAT.
If bikini is worn in chlorinated pool or ocean water, it is imperative to rinse immediately to remove salts and chlorine that can bleach color.
Ocean water may cause color to run or bleed.
If you follow these care instructions, we guarantee the washability of our leathers unconditionally.
During the tanning process, various color dyes are used to give the leather its vibrant color. Occasionally, the salts found in perspiration of some individuals or in ocean water may cause the dye to bleed or rub off. These dyes are not toxic and will wash off. Pre-washing may prove helpful.
